Two miles east of the historic monastic town of Kilmallock, and overlooking the Golden Vale and Ballyhoura Hills, Bulgaden Castle, which is owned and run by Conal and Mary Kelly, was originally an 18th century tavern owned by the Hasset family. In 1887 it was rebuilt in its present form by the Meade family. It is now converted into a delightful Country Inn and Restaurant with full Cabaret, Function and Disco facilities.

Poachers Restaurant at Bulgaden Castle is the ideal setting for any special occasion. Whether it be afternnon lunch or an evening meal, your party can relax in the special ambience that accompanies Poachers Restaurant.

A quick Bar Snack, Business Lunch or a meal with friends in convival surroundings is prepared to the highest standards by our Chef. An extensive A La Carte menu is available at night offering a wide choice of Fresh Fish, Game, Meat and Local Produce cooked to order.

Following are three examples of what we do and the prices we charge. Our Menu's are a lot more extensive and are usually based on the particular requirements of the customer. So whether it's an elaborate Seafood presentation or a simple Finger Buffet you require, please let us have your ideas and we will quote you.

Roast Stuffed Breat of Fresh Turkey and Baked Limerick Ham, Fresh Coleslaw, Potato Salad, Pasta Salad Marie Rose, Savory Rice Salad, Tossed Salad. ALSO, Fresh Rolls and butter, Table Cloths, Ware, Cutlery and Serviettes if required.

Pavlova with Fresh Fruit, Sherry Trifle Chantilly, Lemon Cheesecake.

Meats are presented on Silver Flats and Salad in attractive bowls.

Roast Sirloin of Beef, Fresh Salmon, Smoked Salmon, Prawns, Crab Claws, Home Made Pate, Stuffed Mussells, Fresh Lobster etc can be added to the above menu to suit your needs.

Hot Buffet

Sauté of Beef Stroganoff with Boiled Rice and Tossed Salad served with Fresh Rolls and butter, Table Cloths, Cutlery and Ware if required and serviettes.
